No New Posts…

Hey guys, I know I’ve been gone for a while.  It definitely defeats the purpose of having a blog if I’m not going to post, but I just haven’t been able to lately.

I’m feeling much better, but I do feel that I owe you all an explanation, especially since I can’t promise not to fall off the face of the earth again any time soon.

Basically, I get sick sometimes.  And while I have been trying to convince myself otherwise for a few weeks now, I have to be honest and say that my body is definitely on the verge of another “attack.”

I don’t talk about it much, because I really hate the way people look at me afterwards (luckily, you all can’t see me).  I get weird illnesses and things from time to time (e.g., osteoporosis at 20, a tumor at 27 that usually only males over 50 get, recurring bouts of optic neuritis, migraines, muscle spasms, etc.) .  Even after living with these issues for the past 16 years, and what has felt like a million doctors (at one point, I was seeing 5 different specialists in addition to my regular doctor and my OB/GYN) and tests, the best explanation I’ve gotten is that I probably have an autoimmune disease that doesn’t have a name yet.  (Although every new doctor I see spends months trying to prove MS and/or Lupus.)

Anyways…  I’m only telling you this because between the aches, fevers, naps, and vomiting, I’m attempting doing  NaNoWriMo (in case I hadn’t mentioned it before now) and I doubt I’ll be posting much over the next month or so.  Instead, I’m going to do some re-blogging from other sites.  (If you’ve got something you’d like to be re-blogged, feel free to leave a link in the comments box.)

Thanks for your understanding and patience.  I really enjoy writing here… but getting to interact with all of you, discovering new blogs, etc…. that’s been the best part of discovering the blogosphere!  I’ve missed that these past couple of weeks.

  1. Hey, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do that is best for you. Good luck on the health issues. Hope you can complete the NanoWriMo challenge. Look forward to when you can post something, but understand how life can interfere with one’s plans.

  2. Sorry to hear about your health, that’s frustrating, not being accurately diagnosed. Your positive attitude is remarkable and much to be admired! Best of luck with NaNo and a speedy recovery from this current illness. XO

  4. I can relate; I’ve had my own nebulous medical crap that I finally got some help for. I’m sorry things are still sucky for you and I hope they get sorted out. Good luck Nanoing!

  5. At first: “ooh, look! I’m not the only one that’s just not in the blogging groove right now…”
And then: “oh, look. Someone with an actual legitimate reason to not post…”

Sorry to hear about your health stuff – I’m impressed that you’re still tackling NaNoWriMo!
