Current Knitting Projects (WIP)

I’ve had some requests for me to share my current knitting projects.  I’ve put this off because I’m a little embarrassed by the trouble I’ve had with these.  I’m actually a really good knitter, but these have proved quite troublesome and I’m a little aggravated by them.  Anyway, I’ve shared them below.  I warn you… I’m a horrible photographer!

I may make this a weekly work in progress post.  It’ll keep me from slacking off on my knitting and maybe I’ll learn some photography skills along the way.  (Seriously…  I know you all know the photo secrets.  Please share with me?)

The first, is a sweater that I’ve put down, picked back up, put back down, etc. for almost a year now.  I keep getting distracted with other projects.  It’s supposed to look like this:Princess Pullover from Knitpicks.com (my favorite yarn store)

The last time I picked it back up, I made the sleeves two different lengths, and so…  it’s still sleeveless.  So it currently looks like this:

100_2805 (2) 100_2804 100_2803  (I told you I’m a horrible photographer)

My other project is a T.A.R.D.I.S. blanket.  This is my third time starting this over because I keep losing my place in the color changes.  To fix this, I’m cheating a bit this time.  I’m using KnitPicks Wool of the Andes.

This is what it looks like so far:

And this is what it will hopefully look like once I’m done:

found this on ravelry.com

So you know that I can actually finish something without screwing it up, here are some prior projects I found pics of:

I don't have any pics of this finished, but it was a 2-sided skull scarf for my oldest. The opposite side had a black background with purple skulls.

This is a shirt (obviously) I made for myself.

This is another one of mine.

  1. Hi Jess! A weekly WIP would be really interesting ! It is so nice to see how the designs look when they are made by knitters at home (because they always look awesome in pro pictures with pro models , and sometimes don’t translate so well in real life). Your pictures are perfectly visible , but if you want to learn more about photographing crafts , CreativeLive (www,creativelive.com) will be doing a free course on Oct08/09 on Craft Photography Fundamentals , and their courses are generally good , I find .;) Turtle Hugs
